Carbon Positive Programme for Ports (CPPP) assists member ports to assess and monitor their carbon emissions, improve energy management and reduce their carbon footprint. It has been designed in collaboration with industry experts and allows ports to implement a carbon management plan and gain public recognition for their environmental performance.

The Programme spans three different phases: Measure, Reduce and Offset. After completing each phase's requirements the member port is awarded with a certificate recognising its effort to reduce its carbon footprint. The  programme aims  to encourage ports to reach the highest level of emissions reduction and become carbon neutral through offsetting.

How CPPP works
All initial data and documentation required for the programme to work is collected through a secure, member-only online platform, making it accessible to all ports and personnel regardless of geographical location.

Port activity and management data processing is a vital component both in terms of accuracy and quantity for the successful outcome of the entire programme and to ensure a customised carbon management plan based on your needs can be developed. To facilitate this, and impede as little as possible on the manager's time, a special web-based platform has been created.

Members can login at any time to provide documentation through simple, guided steps, keeping track of the collection of data that they provide, and then managing it accordingly.
