phase2 REDUCE

Using the data gathered during phase1, Carbon Positive will develop a Port Energy Efficiency Management Plan (PEEMP) identifying for each emissions category appropriate measures to reduce energy consumption at the port and reduce its footprint.

Emphasis will be given to the reduction of GHG emissions from port operations, hinterland transport, the improvement of energy efficiency and the usage or renewable energy. The Programme sets a baseline against which emissions reductions will be compared.

Monitoring and reporting performance improvement is critical. As you reduce emissions and become more energy efficient, you will receive Carbon Positive certificates that bring commercial benefits.
